Incharge, a European payment solution, offers a free banking app and debit cards for Ukrainian refugees in Europe. When Ukrainians send or receive hryvnias in the app, the money will be automatically converted into euro for free and without currency conversion fees. Making SEPA and SWIFT transfers is also free of charge. The app was created in partnership with a Swedish fintech, Intergiro.

The Incharge app will be available in the Google and Apple app stores from Thursday, April 14, but in the meantime you can download the app free of charge on Incharge website.

How to Open Incharge Account for Ukrainians
To open an account with Incharge app, you don’t need proof of residence. You must hold a color copy of a valid ID or Ukrainian passport. You also need an email address, phone number and a physical address so they can send you your debit card. Incharge verification process should only take a couple of hours. You will be notified as soon as your new account has been approved.
How to Add Money to Incharge Account
Incharge will offer you a free debit card, both physical and virtual. To add money into Incharge app with your credit or debit card, follow these simple steps:
- Open your app and select the button ‘Add funds’ then specify how many Euros you want to top up
- Fill out your card information and click on the button ‘Top up with this card’
- Complete the authentication process requested by our partner bank, Intergiro.
- Hryvnias will be debited from your card and automatically converted into euros
To transfer money from a bank account, open your Incharge app and go to ‘Card details’. Complete the verification process and you will see your account’s details, which you can then use to transfer funds from your bank account in hryvnias and receive them in euros.
Incharge Debit Card
You can order a physical Incharge debit card by clicking on “order physical card” on the main screen. The Incharge card will be delivered to you in Europe between 3-5 working days at no cost, and you can pay for goods and services with it as well as withdrawing money from ATMs for 1€. A virtual card will be ready to use instantly as soon as you create it in the app. The use of the physical and virtual card is free including contactless purchases.
Fom May 2022, you will be able to add your virtual Incharge card to Google Pay or Apple Pay, and withdraw money from ATMs that support contactless withdrawals.
Incharge App Money Transfer
Incharge allows you to make free transfers, including free SEPA transfers (incoming and outgoing), and SWIFT transfers. People in Ukraine can send funds to your Incharge bank account through a bank transfer. However, Incharge account does not support hryvnias, but you can transfer hryvnias from a Ukrainian bank account or Ukrainian credit or debit card, and they will be automatically exchanged to Euros with no currency conversion fees.
Incharge Transfer Limits and Top Up Limits
- The minimum amount per top-up transaction with the Incharge app is 2.00 EUR.
- The maximum amount per top-up transaction is 2,000.00 EUR.
- The maximum amount per user per day is 2,000.00 EUR.
- The maximum amount per user per 3 days is 2,000.00 EUR.
Is Incharge App Safe?
Yes, Incharge app is safe to use. Your funds will be safely held with the Swedish partner bank Intergiro, which complies fully with Sweden’s regulations and legal requirements. In addition, Intergiro uses fraud detection technologies, data encryption and strong authentication solutions to prevent any fraudulent use of your card and bank account.
